The Platte County Amateur Radio Group is a continuation of the prior TWA Amateur Radio Club and shares the original WA0QFJ club call.  In 2019 the club name was officially changed from TWA Amateur Radio Club to Platte County Amateur Radio Group. Regular club meetings of TWA ARC were the third Sunday of the month, 4 p.m. at Pizza Shoppe in Platte Woods and the club operated a voice net Mondays at 7:30 p.m.​​

​Thanks to many talented and dedicated ham radio operators, the Platte County Amateur Radio Group continues a 40+ year history of serving the Northland and providing emergency communication services for city, county and state emergency services.
